
The Longswamp Learning Center is a non-profit, licensed, STAR FOUR, and NAEYC accredited early childhood educational facility and a licensed before-and-after school age care facility in Mertztown, PA. The Longswamp Learning Center is owned by the Longswamp United Church of Christ and is self-supporting. The Longswamp Learning Center operates under the standards of the Department of Public Welfare and the Office of Child Development and Early Learning. Mission Statement:
The Longswamp Learning Center provides a community of support for parents or guardians to assist them to develop their children as healthy, thoughtful, responsible and spiritual people. The center provides well balanced curriculum through which the staff encourages and, by example, teaches respect for others without regard to nationality, gender, race, religion or ethnic background.
Goal:
The goal of the center is to provide quality early childhood educational programs where children from diverse cultural backgrounds will learn together.
Philosophy:
The Longswamp Learning Center believes:

- Each child should be free to work at his own developmental level, learning new skills from teacher and classmates.
